Global Justice Ecology Project Executive Director Ann Petermann spoke at the Global Climate Convergence in New York City on Sept. 19, 2014.
Petermann presented at the opening plenary session and hosted a joint workshop with Dr. Rachel Smolker, the Co-Director of Biofuelwatch. The workshop addressed the dangers of genetically engineered trees and other false solutions to climate change, and discussed what is really needed to stave off climate catastrophe.
The Climate Convergence marched with the “We Know Who Is Responsible” bloc at People’s Climate March in New York City.
