
Steve Taylor | Communications Director
Steve Taylor serves as our Communications Director. With a background in education, government relations, and (award-winning) environmental activism, he has also taught extensively at the college and university levels. His advocacy efforts are focused on environmental protection, labor rights, and government transparency.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics
Professional Experience
During his teaching tenure, Taylor played an instrumental role in establishing the adjunct union at St. Louis Community College. His time in public service also includes:
- United States Congressional Press Secretary (2000-2012)
- Registered Lobbyist – Missouri State Legislature (1995-2000)
Activism and Advocacy
Taylor began his environmental work in the early 1990s as an activist fighting clear-cutting in the Shawnee National Forest. Other highlights include:
- Times Beach Action Group Founder
- Missouri Coalition for the Environment – Leo and Kay Drey Award winner
- Exposed fraud surrounding the remediation and incineration of waste from 27 Missouri dioxin sites.
