Campaign to STOP GE Trees
The Campaign to STOP GE Trees is a national and international alliance of organizations that have united towards prohibiting the ecologically and socially devastating release of genetically engineered trees into the environment. GJEP coordinates, administrates and fundraises for the campaign.
Global Justice Media Program
GJEP’s Global Justice Media Program strategically uses photography, video and other visual art, as well as mainstream and alternative media, to explore and expose the root causes of social, ecological and economic injustice, and to empower those working for change.
The program showcases community struggles against injustice, and amplifies the voices and messages of front line struggles of people working to defend their communities against health, social, ecological, and/or economic damage.
Concerned Photography & History Archiving
Using the power of photojournalism to expose social, economic and ecological injustice
The aim of GJEP’s concerned Photography and Historical Archiving is not just to document and expose the harsh reality of injustice—much of which is linked with the struggle for the land—but to inspire others to participate in changing the world, while helping empower those whose struggles we lift up because they know that their struggle is revealed to a larger audience.
Breaking Green Podcast
Produced by Global Justice Ecology Project, Breaking Green is a podcast that talks with activists and experts to examine the intertwined issues of social, ecological and economic injustice. Breaking Green also explores some of the more outrageous proposals to address climate and environmental crises that are falsely being sold as green.
Earth Radio with the Sojourner Truth Radio Show
GJEP produces weekly Earth Minutes and Earth Watch interviews for the nationally syndicated Sojourner Truth show on KPFK Pacifica Radio. The interviews feature front-line impacted activists and organizations, featuring their voices and stories, campaigns and breaking news items.
GJEP enables small non-profits to focus their energy on their important work by acting as a fiscal sponsor. This helps them minimize bureaucracy so they can focus on their missions. These groups are doing crucial work for ecological and social justice, forest protection and human rights.
New Voices Speakers’ Bureau
Through the New Voices Speakers’ Bureau, GJEP highlights and amplifies the voices of Indigenous Peoples, impacted communities in resistance, social movements and other on-the-ground experts. This has resulted in hundreds of interviews and articles, raising the profile and projecting the messages our allies to millions of people around the world.
