At a recent demonstration during the meeting of the G20 in Pittsburgh, Jihan testified, “The land of the Indigenous people in the arctic is literally melting under their feet, disrupting the life cycles of the plants and animals they depend on, and forcing coastal and island communities to abandon their homes and traditional lands. What happens to a culture when the land and environment it stems from no longer exists?”
Jihan, the Indigenous Environmental Network, and the Global Justice Ecology Project will be part of a delegation of communities impacted by climate change going to Copenhagen to make sure these voices are not left out.  Come hear what she and others are doing to push for climate justice!
