This week’s Earth Watch guest is Adriana Ramirez, a student at the University of Richmond from Nicaragua. Ramirez discussed the political and social unrest currently unfolding in Nicaragua. Fires have been destroying tropical rain forests there, but Nicaragua recently rejected aid to combat the fires offered by Costa Rica.

Ramirez, who is from Nicaragua, is an international student at the University of Richmond. Ramirez is graduating this month with a major in global studies and a concentration in development and change.
