This week the annual World Economic Forum is going on in Davos, Switzerland. For several years, NGOs and others across the world gathered at the same time for an alternative World Social Forum. GJEP co-founder Orin Langelle and myself were in Belém, Brazil, at the mouth of the Amazon river, in 2009 for that year’s World Social Forum.
