Celebrating our 20th Anniversary
Help GJEP protect wild forests around the world and defend the rights and territories of forest dependent communities and Indigenous Peoples on whose territories 80% of the world’s biodiversity is found.
In 2024, the Global Justice Ecology Project (GJEP) achieved remarkable milestones in its mission to protect forests and defend the rights of Indigenous and forest-dependent communities worldwide. From amplifying the struggles of the Mapuche people in Chile to mobilizing against genetically engineered (GE) trees at international forums, GJEP’s work demonstrates the power of solidarity and action in addressing ecological and social injustices. This year’s impact report celebrates over two decades of resistance, resilience, and advocacy—proving that collective action can drive meaningful change for our planet and its people.
