We are seeking someone with a deep commitment to our core values to become our new full-time Campaign Organizer & Administrative Assistant.  The ideal candidate will be someone with proven experience in social justice and environmental campaigning who is committed to advancing our organization’s success. The right person will have the interest and potential to become a leader in the organization.

Founded in 2003, Global Justice Ecology Project (GJEP) is an international ecological justice organization based in the United States, with a global perspective, root cause analysis and uncompromising stance. GJEP envisions a world in which all societies are justly and equitably governed with full participation by an engaged and informed populace living in harmony with the natural world and one another. The mission of GJEP is to explore and expose the intertwined root causes of social injustice, ecological destruction, and economic domination, toward a fundamental transformation of the systems driving these oppressions.

Our programs include:

The Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered Trees is a global alliance of groups that protect forests and biodiversity in collaboration with Indigenous and forest dependent communities by preventing the potentially devastating impacts of the large-scale release of genetically engineered trees into the environment. GJEP Coordinates this alliance.

Our Global Justice Media Program lifts up the voices, issues and struggles of frontline communities and underrepresented constituencies through our Breaking Green podcast, Langelle Photography, and Earth Radio. Langelle Photography utilizes social documentary photography to advance social, economic and ecological justice

Our Fiscal Sponsorship Program supports the efforts of grassroots initiatives and organizations working for social and ecological justice through financial management and fundraising support.

Our Philosophy of Activism: We maintain an uncompromising stance with a holistic analysis, while recognizing that we are accountable nationally and internationally to Indigenous Peoples, grassroots organizations and frontline/marginalized communities.

Our Principles include the fundamental equality of all peoples and the intrinsic value of the natural world. The principles guiding our work also include confronting oppression, challenging power elites, and amplifying the voices of the least powerful among us; as well as championing diversity and equality and working in cooperation to break down barriers and identify common goals and ideas with the aim to build grassroots power.
