Corporate Globalization vs. Global Justice: Part II, The Struggle Continues featuring photos by Orin Langelle

On display from February 1st through April 27th, 2008

Photo Exhibit Opening Reception: Friday, February 1st, 5-8pm at the ArtPath Gallery (in the Wing Building, by the King Street Ferry Dock in Burlington–directions below).  Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Corporate Globalization vs. Global Justice: Part II, The Struggle Continues features a selection of photographs of global resistance from the summer of 2004 to the present, including photographs from Vermont, Kenya, Latin America, the Democratic and Republican National Conventions of 2004, G8 protests in Germany, the World Social Forum in Nairobi and the recent UN Climate Convention in Bali, Indonesia.  All of Langelle’s photos are available for purchase and all proceeds benefit the programs of Global Justice Ecology Project.

Orin Langelle became involved in the movement for social justice in the 1960s in opposition to the Vietnam War.  He trained as a photojournalist at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan under Cornell Capa, co-founder of Magnum Photo Agency and brother to the renowned war photographer Robert Capa.

GJEP’s exhibit is dedicated in loving memory of Will Miller

Also exhibiting: Gerard W. Rinaldi (Photo drawings), Michael Strauss (Molecular Landscapes) and Jim Wallace (Black and White nudes).

The ArtPath Gallery is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
