GJEP cofounder and photographer Orin Langelle dedicates this Field Notes to the journalists in Gaza—over 200 killed while documenting genocide.
He calls it not only a war on Gaza, but a war on journalism, freedom of the press, and truth itself.
Langelle reflects on his mentor Cornell Capa, founder of the International Center of Photography, who coined the term Concerned Photography: “to let the world know why the present is unacceptable.”
For over five decades, Langelle has worked to fulfill that mission. This episode honors those who continue risking everything to document the truth.
