Concerned Photography - the simplest way to show the world why injustice is unacceptable

Concerned photography inspires action by documenting people resisting injustice and standing up for the future of their communities and environment.

Orin Langelle, one of GJEP’s co-founders, is a concerned photographer whose work spans five decades and six continents. Langelle Photography provides a home for these documentary photographic images concerning social, ecological and economic struggles.

Portraits of Struggle

Photography book by Orin Langelle

These photographs, taken between 1972 and 2023 across five continents, highlight ongoing struggles for justice and the connections between social, ecological, and economic issues. This collection documents the stories of those affected, illustrating how these issues are intrinsically linked. The images challenge viewers to question the narrative of injustice and demonstrate the power of individuals to resist and create new narratives of justice.
