Christian Parenti will draw on his experience as a reporter in Latin America, Africa, China and his recent experience as an unembedded reporter in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He will explore these questions, combining his on the ground reporting from war zones and environmental hotspots witht the deep historical knowledge of international political economy merging environmental and political debates to find useful responses to the gathering crisis.
