Via Indigenous Environmental Network:

Following the historical Stand With Standing Rock Native Nations Rise, a March of 5,000 Indigenous Peoples and allies in Washington, D.C. on March 10th, on April 4, the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beyond Vietnam” speech, racial justice leaders across the country organized political education and action events. Alliance members Cooperation Jackson hosted a teach in on Social Justice, Economic Democracy and Human Rights in Jackson, and other members showed up in solidarity in New York and the Bay and the Climate Justice Alliance official released the CJA Just Transition Principles to share with members and allies. Check out some great photos of the action on the Beyond the Moment Facebook page and this article on building #BeyondTheMoment.

Tuesday kicked off a full month of mass political education, vigils and direct action to deepen our cross-movement collaboration and strategy and build toward mass collective action in D.C. on April 28-29th and across the country on May Day.
